On September 5–6, at Sätra Gård in Upplands-Bro, Sweden, the Onto‑DESIDE project held its first f2f meeting.
The two-day meeting consisted of updates on the work progress in all WPs, but also interactive discussion sessions for progressing in the analysis of our three use case scenarios. Our use case scenarios are set in the context of the construction, textile and electronics industry, and are designed to showcase the potential of using decentralised semantic technologies for data sharing. At this point the discussions focused on identifying the relevant stakeholders, their data needs, and map out potentially available data sources. As a methodology for this process we are using the Circularity Thinking from our partners at the University of Hamburg. In particular the Circularity Compass is an important tool to illustrate the flows and needs that each use case contains.
During the meeting we also had the opportunity to listen to an invited talk from Ragn-Sells about some of their circular economy efforts, and to visit their new treatment plant for fly ash, that it about to be taken into production in the next months.
